One Spot Guild Code of Conduct
- When you join One Spot you don’t just join a guild that raids or runs instances you join a community and you are expected to contribute to that community, below in bullet points is listed what we expect of you while you’re a Raider of One Spot.
- To have a good time, enjoy some laughs, enjoy some awesome successes, enjoy the company of your guild mates
- To present yourself in an appropriate manner at all times (sure make jokes and have a laugh this isn’t a 1950s boarding school but at the same time we will not accept at any time spiteful meaningful insults on another member, this will be dealt with by means of a guild kick no second chances).
- If you have a problem with another member, try and talk to them privately and sort your grievances, if you find this impossible to do go to an Officer and explain the situation and why you have a grievance with another member, the Officer will then take it from there.
- Don’t ninja
- Don’t whine about loot
- Don’t try and influence another member into passing on loot, if they want to do it they will do it and its something I am very proud of here that our members will put each other above themselves at times.
- Don’t spam general channels at anytime, don’t get into arguments in general channels if some muppet is annoying you just use the ignore function or leave the channel.
- Be open minded there will be things said in guild chat which you won’t agree with or you will feel distasteful don’t start an argument just whisper the person who said it and ask them to tone it down a bit or contact an Officer and they’ll try and diffuse the situation. We’ve all said choice things at times and we all will again.
- No racism what so ever
- No sexism what so ever
- When out in the world of warcraft outside of the guild raids remember that you carry our tag above your head, so always respect this and carry yourself with dignity and pride and do not tarnish the guilds reputation.
- Come prepared to raids, whats the point of a Hunter turning up when his bow is at 3/90 durability. So repair get stocked with reagents that you’ll need for buffs, poisons, etc.
- Be prepared to wipe in raids, its going to happen at some point, learn from a wipe you don’t clear raid instances without learning from your mistakes.
Don’t use the general channels during a raid, this might just be us but we are a quiet guild and we aren’t looking to boast or act big headed.
If you make a mistake in a raid that leads to a wipe own up to it, it’s much more advantageous to do this as we can discuss it and talk about ways to prevent it from happening in the future. You won’t be castrated for causing a wipe. -
If you have to take a quick AFK in a raid make sure you inform the raid, AFKs should be a minimum in a raid other than the 5-10 minute break announced by the raid leader.
- Its accepted that not everyone will like everyone else, so if you don’t like someone just try and act civilly towards them, we aren’t forcing you to spend every online second with them.
- If you are unhappy with things and you don’t like the way things are going let an Officer know, if we don’t know about it we can’t do anything about it, the last thing we want is for you guys to be unhappy. So don’t let the problem snowball and get bigger and bigger lets stop it at its source.
- We try to be reasonable and treat everyone equally and we have a chant bank which has reagents we will use to chant peoples gear free of charge the rarer chants with higher reagent requirements will go to those we feel put in the most effort and that will benefit the guild most. i.e. I would rather give a Warrior who raids 3-4 times a week a mongoose chant than a rogue who shows up once every 2 weeks. So be reasonable with your requests we don’t have an endless supply.
