Guild Info
-
One Spot Guild Code of Conduct
- To have a good time, enjoy some laughs, enjoy some awesome successes, enjoy the company of your guild mates
- To present yourself in an appropriate manner at all times (sure make jokes and have a laugh this isn’t a 1950s boarding school but at the same time we will not accept at any time spiteful meaningful insults on another member, this will be dealt with by means of a guild kick no second chances).
- If you have a problem with another member, try and talk to them privately and sort your grievances, if you find this impossible to do go to an Officer and explain the situation and why you have a grievance with another member, the Officer will then take it from there.
- Come prepared to raids, whats the point of a Hunter turning up when his bow is at 3/90 durability. So repair get stocked with reagents that you’ll need for buffs, poisons, etc.
- Be prepared to wipe in raids, its going to happen at some point.
- Don’t ninja
- Don’t whine about loot
- Don’t try and influence another member into passing on loot, if they want to do it they will do it and its something I am very proud of here that our members will put each other above themselves at times.
- Don’t use the general channels during a raid, this might just be us but we are a quiet guild and we aren’t looking to boast or act big headed.
- Don’t spam general channels at anytime, don’t get into arguments in general channels if some muppet is annoying you just use the ignore function or leave the channel.
- Good old saying ‘Treat others how you would like to be treated yourself’ (this doesn’t apply to sado masochists, we did have one in the guild once, scary guy)
- Help one another out if you can, but also be prepared to accept the fact that sometimes a member won’t be able to help out, won’t want to go to an instance or won’t be able to afford to give away a free chant/item etc. Because they don’t feel like an instance at that time is a good enough reason not to go.
- Be open minded there will be things said in guild chat which you won’t agree with or you will feel distasteful don’t start an argument just whisper the person who said it and ask them to tone it down a bit or contact an Officer and they’ll try and diffuse the situation. We’ve all said choice things at times and we all will again, I had a chat with a member once because he had taken something I’d said the wrong way and was very offended by it, but he asked me in whisper what was going on and we had a chat about it and I explained what it meant and how it wasn’t an insult just a joke, we virtually shook hands and we got better than we had before after that.
- Its accepted that not everyone will like everyone else, so if you don’t like someone just try and act civilly towards them, we aren’t forcing you to spend every online second with them. I’m pretty sure some people don’t like me, including me and, just think how that feels I have to spend every second with me!!
- Never pet a burning dog
- If you make a mistake in a raid that leads to a wipe own up to it, its much more advantageous to do this as we can discuss it and talk about ways to prevent it from happening in the future. I bet there aren’t many people who haven’t been the cause of a wipe at some point or other if any.
- No incessant chitter chatter in raids either, use the guild chat for anything you want to say not related to whats going on in the raid.
- If you have to take a quick AFK in a raid because your sister just set fire to the cat and theres a monkey loose in your garage then let the raid know (also let the raid know for any AFK as burning cats and monkeys in garages are a rare occurrence)
- If you are unhappy with things and you don’t like the way things are going let an Officer know, if we don’t know about it we can’t do anything about it, the last thing we want is for you guys to be unhappy. So don’t let the problem snowball and get bigger and bigger lets stop it at its source and we’ll all be bestest friends for everest.
- No racism what so ever
- No sexism what so ever
- No McFly I hate McFly well I hate the fat arrogant git in McFly the others I couldn’t care less about
- There is more than1 form of music people will like music different to you, they are not idiots or noobs or bottom feeders because they like Oasis and you like Metallica.
- Your dad is not harder than my dad so drop it.
- When it comes to selling items in guild, nobody is expected to give you that item for free, we’d expect people to discount it but its up to the person with the item, aslong as your not ripping off or scamming your guild mates we don’t mind.
- We try to be reasonable and treat everyone equally and we have a chant bank which has reagents we will use to chant peoples gear free of charge the rarer chants with higher reagent requirements will go to those we feel put in the most effort and that will benefit the guild most. i.e. I would rather give a Warrior who raids 3-4 times a week a mongoose chant than a rogue who shows up once every 2 weeks. So be reasonable with your requests we don’t have an endless supply.
- liLoot rules at the moment in Karazhan we roll on loot although we may well introduce a dkp system in the future. However if you win a piece of loot at boss A then we take down boss B and more loot drops you can roll for both but be reasonable if someone else also rolls maybe it would be nice to pass to them, this is to you discretion but just take a second to think about it.
- When out in the world of warcraft outside of the guild remember that you carry our tag above your head, so always respect this and carry yourself with dignity and pride and do not tarnish the guilds reputation.
